Now macintosh users have a compatible poker stars software that works on a mac computer. If you have been wanting to play online poker and become a poker star at poker stars, up until early 2008 you have not been able to.
Today, however, PokerStars offers a Mac PokerStars Download that is in beta testing. Prior to this release of the beta version of pokerstars mac software, if you wanted to play online poker and you were on a mac you had to find a no download poker option.

The battle for operating systems between microsoft and apple has one unique front in the fight, and that is in the online poker market. It seems that downloadable poker software has to be specially written to work on macintosh computers.
